Resources for Living Well

Weight Loss Tools:

Websites worth your time:

  • SparkPeople.com – If you’re just starting out or looking for some additional motivation, I HIGHLY recommend SparkPeople. They have an unbelievable collection of articles, exercises, recipes, etc… all 100% free.
  • Examiner.com – I am the Nashville Diet & Exercise Examiner and publish my articles here.
  • Hungry Girl – Words cannot express how much I love this website. I own the first cookbook and incorporate several of HG recipe swaps in my weekly cooking. Sign up for the daily emails while you’re there!

Other resources to help in your journey:

  • YogaDownload.com – I started incorporating yoga into my routine initially as a way to relax. As I got into it, I realized it does a lot more than help you relax. Yoga improves your blood circulation, posture, balance, mood and flexibility… among many other things! I recommend YogaDownload since they have programs for all levels… and even better – their 20 minute programs are FREE!
  • MapMyRun.com – An awesome resource for calculating the mileage on your walk/run route.
  • Active.com – I love Active.com for multiple reasons. 1) They offer training calendars and training programs. 2) They have a database where you can search/register for races and other fitness events in your area. Get moving and get involved!! 3) They make countless weight loss/training resources available to their free account holders.
